OVERVIEW
Ukrainian University is an educational and training subsidiary of Ukraina, Inc.
Ukrainian University is not accredited educational institution (we hope that it will win accreditation in the future), but is a school that provides basic professional education and training and improvement of professional skills.
Ukrainian University issues certificates equivalent to any training and improvement of professional skills institutions.
Courses are taught in English, Russian and Ukrainian.
Forms of educational activities: materials posted on sites for reading and practicing; lectures in form of letters to students; webinars (seminars online); chatting via IMs or voice/video on Skype; testing; exams - written, on Skype and in person.
FOUNDER & PROJECT MANAGER
Ukrainian University is founded by Prof. Dr. Volodymyr Ivanenko who gave 20 years of his professional career to the higher education in the former Soviet Union as a teacher, lecturer and professor of various courses, as an executive assistant to a university president (rector), as a deputy dean of a school, as a deputy chair of a department, as a managing director of special committees under the Ministry of Higher Education of Ukraine and the State Committee for Higher Education of the USSR.
Dr. V. Ivanenko was a visiting scholar and professor of Michigan University (Ann Arbor, MI), Kent University (Kent, OH), Harvard University (Cambridge, MA).
Dr. V. Ivanenko graduated from Mikhail Lomonosov Moscow State University (MGU) in Russia with a Bachelor degree in American Studies and Master degree in Journalism. He earned his Ph. D. degree from Taras Shevchenko Kyiv State (now National) University in Ukraine where he taught for 20 years, wrote four dissertations in different fields.
Dr. V. Ivanenko was also a recognized leading expert in the Theory of Translation, Theory of Editing, Literary Critisism, Ukrainian Studies and other fields. He published over 500 works.
As an expert in Mass Communication, Dr. V. Ivanenko co-chaired a group of experts who drafted and introduced to Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine the very first Press and Mass Media Law of Ukraine that was adopted in 1990.
Since 1995, Dr. V. Ivanenko lives and works in the US.
